Another year in the books, with some of the world’s best athletes converging on the Isthmus of Catalina Island to push off and paddle across the San Pedro Channel, finishing 32 miles later at the Manhattan Beach Pier. An incredible day on the water with some of the best people you can find.
The Catalina Classic Paddleboard Race is the most historical paddleboard race in the world. It was formally established in 1955 by Los Angeles County Lifeguard Bob Hogan and almost 70 years later we are intent on growing the event, while simultaneously ensuring its rich history remains intact through further community engagement, competitive by-laws, and an elevated athlete experience.
